Susquehanna County Antique Tour

The northernmost shop, the Sea Hag Soaps and Art Mercantile is in a big restored barn in Brackney, Pa (very close to the New York border) – featuring high end regional artisan pieces, with antiques interspersed throughout – and of course her famous Sea Hag soaps.

Mary’s Home Furnishings, since 1978, in South Montrose, Pa., in the same building where her parents once made and sold ice cream. The shop offers antique oak and country furniture and features three local artists.

In South Montrose visit a second shop, also on Route 29 - Deb’s Antiques and Collectables – with fantastic pieces, small to large, from glass candle holders to marble fountains and vintage clothing, and they do some custom refinishing.

The Black Cat on Union Street (just off Route 11) in New Milford, Pa, has been offering fine antiques for over 30 years. Here you will find rare collectibles, primitives and beautifully restored country furniture.

A unique stop on your antique tour is the Olde Church Emporium, on ‘Scenic’ Route 92 in Jackson, Pa, situated in a circa 1841 church, with original stained glass windows and bell. The shop is loaded with gifts & home décor. During part of the year, one can sample great desserts and other delicacies in their café.

Along a lovely tree lined road (between Gibson and Route 92), find Marcho’s Antiques & Collectibles – you can’t miss the greenhouses and the floral shop where fine antiques are beautifully displayed; then browse through the barn chuck full of furniture and surprises.
